This position will support our valued client, FAA, in Oklahoma City, OK.  Aeronautical Information Services (AIS) supports Pilots, Air Traffic Controllers, and Aviation Planners with a myriad of products and services to promote safe aeronautical navigation. AIS develops and maintains the FAA’s Instrument Flight Procedures to support the Nation’s Next Generation Air Traffic Systems (NextGen). Digital Aeronautical Products are developed and maintained by AIS to support pilot’s Electronic Flight Bags and Flight Management Systems, and produces specialized Digital Products to support Air Traffic Control and Airport and Airspace Planning. 


Under the supervision of a Triumph CSPL (Client Solutions Project Leader), the Software Support Specialist/Analyst will:  

  • Provide support to Instrument Approach Flight Procedure Software Development Software
  • Produce, maintain, modify, and provide training materials for procedure development software
  • Provide new procedure development program analysis
  • Support software deficiency resolution and be responsible to identify those deficiencies and resolutions

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years relevant aviation or software testing experience.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in using the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience using automated testing tools
  • Proficiently speaks, reads, and writes English fluently.
  • Strong organizational and business process skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with varying due dates.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members and varying levels of clients.
  • Ability to obtain FAA Suitability clearance.
  • An approach to work that includes initiative, sound judgment, diplomacy and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently on a variety of assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of working with high level government leadership.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent writing skills.



  • Air traffic control or pilot experience.
  • Experience in Terminal Instrument Procedure (TERPS) development (WAAS and ground based).
  • Experience with FAA procedure development software & tools (IPDS, IAPA, SIAP, IFP FIX, targets, routes, and departures etc.)
  • Knowledge of 8260 series FAA regulations.
  • Experience using SmartBear automated testing tools. 
  • Government contracting experience.
  • Ability to adapt to client company culture and work environment.
  • Proven experience Software de-bugging and deficiency resolution.
  • Knowledge of help desk procedures
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Knowledge of MS Project.
  • Background in Information Technology/Programming.
