Job Description

We are actively seeking a Senior Information Security Vulnerability Analyst to join a Security Operations team on a contract with a federal government client.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, integrate, and update system security solutions
  • Create, automate, and optimize appropriate reports and dashboards in multiple Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation tools to highlight areas for improvement and track the overall health and status of the enterprise
  • Manage and operate network-centric and application-centric security tools to provide real-time insight into the security posture of the enterprise
  • Evaluate the impact of security issues with respect to the mission and prioritize remediation efforts based on risk
  • Facilitate communication between the Information Security Program, client Information System Security Officers (ISSOs), and system owners to address security issues and resolve vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
  • Provide input into the development of security policies and procedures
  • Evaluate new and emerging security products and technologies

Qualifications / Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Credentials
    • Eight or more years of professional work experience with at least five years specialized in cyber security
    • BA or BS degree (additional years of experience in cyber security reduce this educational requirement)
  • Sound cyber security knowledge foundation, to include understanding of
    • Computer and network technology fundamentals
    • Network security
    • Host security
    • Security tools and technologies
    • Threat and vulnerability management
  • Experience, Skills and Abilities
    • Thorough understanding of current and emerging information security exploits, threats, and vulnerabilities
    • Excellent knowledge of protocols, network topologies, and perimeter security devices (proxies, IPS, IDS, Firewall, and packet analyzers), and network security design
    • Strong facilitation skills and a clear ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
    • Demonstrated expertise with multiple Windows, Mac OS, and *nix operating systems

Responsibilities:

  • Perform risk-based assessments of current and emerging information security issues to support the mission by prioritizing remediation efforts
  • Engage with client Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) and system owners to serve as an information security subject matter expert and trusted advisor
  • Provide input into the development of security guidance, policies, and procedures
  • Strong scripting skills Bash, Python, or Perl and working knowledge of REST API
  • Engage with client Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) and system owners to serve as an information security subject matter expert and trusted advisor
