    Triumph Enterprises is seeking an Engineering Manager.

    Responsibilities

    • Directly supporting the Engineering Branch Manager of the Acquisition Program Management (APM) Office by maintaining day-to-day interaction and ensuring needs are supported in the continuous improvement of existing security screening equipment and the strategic acquisition of emerging technologies
    • Providing input and recommendations to strategic discussions on capability initiatives as well as proactively identifying and providing solutions to risks & issues; facilitating client brainstorming activities to develop clear path(s) for program/project execution
    • Developing and maintaining documentation to support presentations to Senior Leadership and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and organized communication
    • Providing strategic collaboration with other contract managers to drive forward high-level initiatives and tasks
    • Managing team resources (4 to 8 analysts/consultants/engineers), ensuring high quality client support and deliverables are provided including but not limited to;
      • Conducting data analysis, establish baseline requirements and cost estimates, tracking project status and schedules
      • Coordinating and collaborating with other stakeholders relating to Client project management
    • Providing financial forecast analysis, and other data reporting in response to internal and external inquiries
    • Managing creation of new Client tools and processes through iterative development and schedule management, providing rollout presentations and Client training and communications
    • Providing strong analytical and program support with a focus on high-performance work
    • Helping identify the scope and objectives of project engagements including analyzing the impact of capability changes on the operational efficiency, security effectiveness, industry vitality, cost, and passenger experience of TSA’s checked baggage systems
    • Guiding staff in the building qualitative and quantitative frameworks to foster data driven decisions on mission-related client issues
    • Preparing and overseeing appropriate documentation for client including industry engagement documents such as Statements of Work, Requests for Proposals, and supporting acquisitions documents (Quality Management Plan, Functional Requirement Documents, etc.)

    Qualifications / Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical and/or Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering) and/or Computer Science
    • Minimum of five (5) or more years of experience in consulting and/or directly relevant industry experience
      • Ability to understand technical projects
      • Preferred - Experience in government acquisitions of capital equipment
      • Preferred - Experience in machine learning, quantitative data analysis, modeling & simulation, and/or exposure to X-ray, Chemical, Radiological, and/or Nuclear technologies
    • Experience as a federal contractor
      • Preferred - Experience supporting DHS or TSA
    • Ability to get a Public Trust
      • Preferred - ability to obtain Secret clearance
    • Proficiency with MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) and SharePoint, familiarity with MS Access preferred
    • Ability to adapt behavior and to develop and maintain relationships with people from varied backgrounds, specifically dealing with difficult clients
    • Ability to lead and adapt leadership style to a variety of situations in a way that will influence, motivate and challenge others
    • Proven experience working with customers to proactively assess and understand needs, recommend path forward, options, or resolutions, and manage and satisfy expectations
    • Senior-level management and direction on client engagements including extensive experience in all aspects of leading a project, understanding business needs, experience in formulating project definition, isolating success factors, and aligning firm objectives with client needs
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral – must be able to express information and make convincing arguments to groups and individuals effectively, considering the audience and nature of the information
    • Demonstrated problem-solving ability as it relates to: anticipating, identifying, and diagnosing problems, determining accuracy and relevance of information, using sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, make recommendations, and act from developed contingency plans
    • Ability to organize work, set priorities, and determine resource requirements as it relates to determining short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them, coordinating with other parts of the organization to accomplish goals and monitoring progress and evaluating outcomes
    • Ability to inspire, motivate and guide others toward goal accomplishments through coaching, mentoring, rewarding and guiding employees. Consistently develops and sustains cooperative working relationships and facilitates cooperation within the organization, with peers, with supervisors and most importantly with the client group, by fostering commitment, team spirit, pride and trust
